    Where Is Asbestos?

Asbestos can potentially be found in any building constructed or refurbished before the year 2000. Asbestos affects both industrial and residential properties and can be found in some surprising places.

Asbestos is extremely hazardous and it can be found in many of the common materials that were used in the building trade up until the year 2000.

Asbestos is no longer used in construction or refurbishment of any buildings but many thousands of tonnes of it were used in the past and much of it is still in place. As long as it is in good condition and is not being disturbed, damaged or exposed there is no imminent risk, but it is important you know where it might be for any future works that may be undertaken.

Asbestos kills around 20 tradesmen each week due to past exposure to asbestos, this is why some work in residential or industrial properties will require a licensed contractor and the problem managed by a professional team like Delta Services.
